Prof Sanjay K. Jha, a widely acclaimed linguist, is currently serving Amity University Haryana as “Director of Liberal Artsâ€, “Head of Amity Centre for Sanskrit and Indic Studiesâ€, “Chairperson of North India’s KÄrmik Linguistic Association†and National Coordinator for universal human values. Prof. Jha is the product of University of Mumbai, Deccan College, Pune, and University of California, USA for his core specialization in Applied Linguistics. Prof. Jha started his professional career as Research Scientist from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay where he worked for two prestigious machine translation projects called Universal Networking Language of United Nations University, Tokyo and Wordnet project of Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. Currently, he is principal investigator of two Government-funded projects of lexicography and Indic culture. Teaching in several premier universities of Africa like Garyounis University, Libya, Haramaya University, Ethiopia, etc. he has published 129 research papers, 9 books, and 12 book chapters. Knowing 10 Indian and 5 foreign languages, he is also the chief-editor of four international journals. The recipient of 15 prestigious awards, Prof. Jha is an institution builder, a skilled orator, a deep thinker, and a sharp discussant of universal human values and language pedagogy.
